If you are someone that loves a road trip, then you will know that it helps you to explore and discover some real hidden gems. If you think of classic road trips that you see in movies, it is all about romance and discovering new places, with some sunglasses and a scarf. Somewhere along the way, though, road-tripping lost its glam or cool edge, being more about messy cars, sleeping in the car, and stopping off at endless petrol stations. But now that we are living in the era of Instagram, one of the plus sides is that glam and style matter again. Today, travelling is much about aesthetics, with many people choosing their destinations based on how ‘instagrammable’ it is.
So to make your next road trip as Insta-worthy as possible, here are some tips to help you glam it up, and road trip in style. Where will you be off to first?
For a small trip, drive vintage
The car that you will be driving for the journey really sets the tone for it all. So think about the trip that you will be taking, and then think about the car that would be best for it. Of course, a huge trip with the kids could work with an SUV or a minivan. But for a couples trip only a couple of hours away, would something classic or vintage work better? Something like a convertible could work for a Californian road trip, or an old Jaguar could suit a drive around the Scottish countryside.
Drive in style
Similarly, there are so many options of cars to choose from. If you are going on a long trip and will need a little extra space, then you might want to hire a larger car than the one that you have. If you are going on a day or weekend trip, then you could look for something like the cars at Dick Lovett Aston Martin for something a little fancy. The car is your mode of transport, so you want it to be comfortable, as well as looking good.

Travel light and shop along the way
It is such a good idea to make sure that you don’t overpack on a road trip. It will weigh the car down, for starters, but you’ll just have too much for the trip. The key is to pack only your best and most trusted pieces and to have the things with you for the adventure that you want to have. Have some basics with you, as well as a few specifics for things like hikes or walks, or whatever you have planned along the way. If you know your destination, or somewhere en-route will have places to stop and shop, then that is another great option to think about. Road trips, just by their nature, can be quite unpredictable. So if you want to be ready to up your Insta game on the trip, then you need to be prepared and willing to go with the flow.
