We were sent the Puppy Dog Pals Deluxe Playset and Puppy Dog Pals Dog House Playset for the purposes of this review. Do your kids enjoy watching Puppy Dog Pals? Noah LOVES animals and small-world play, so I knew this playset would be a sure-fire hit.
Puppy Dog Pals is about brothers Bingo and Rolly, two pug puppies who have fun traveling around their neighborhood and the world when their owner Bob leaves home. They also have a tabby cat sister figure named Hissy, and a robot dog named Autodoggy Robotic Friend or ARF.
Puppy Dog Pals Dog House Playset
The Puppy Dog Pals Dog House Playset is almost ready for action straight from the box. You will need to assemble a few pieces, like clip the swing into place. Noah could help so it wasn’t tricky.
The Doghouse Playset includes a number of interactive elements like a slide, swing and a lift. It also comes complete with Bingo and Rolly as well as an ARF car, and a seesaw for the brothers to play on.
The pups also clip into the glider on the roof, for really hilarious flying around play! (Did you notice that the blue part of the roof looks like a Darth Vader helmet? We spotted this and I now can’t think of anything else when I look at the Puppy Dog Pals Doghouse Playset!)
Puppy Dog Pals Deluxe Playset
The Puppy Dog Pals Playset comes complete with 10 different items. There are six characters included in the set: Bingo, Rolly, A.R.F., Bob, Hissy and Keia. The Pals come with four accessories: two food bowls, a cat bed and a toy.
The playset is really tied into the box, presumably these guys have a reputation for wriggling out or something because we needed to grab some scissors to cut them free from the string around their necks.
My boys didn’t really play with the playset. The animals that came with the Doghouse were enough, and Noah played with those for a long time. I tried introducing the extra friends but Noah explained that Bingo and Rolly were on an adventure and didn’t want Bob to come home, or for Hissy to get involved.
