We were sent a couple of My Little World sets to review, and there are also two to give away! Stay tuned to find out how to enter. The My Little World sets are engaging colouring sets to occupy children during long journeys, in restaurants, or at home!
The My Little World packets we received were Airport and Emergency Services.
Each pack, aimed at four to nine-year-olds, contains 12 cards featuring characters, buildings and extras, which make up that particular world. The characters have names and short bios to spark the child’s imagination and the elements are double-sided, with characters displaying different emotions on each side to enhance the play value.
Inside the slim boxes, you also will find 12 colouring pencils and stands to hold the scenes. The My Little World packs are light enough to put in a bag to take along to places you need to keep a child busy.
Noah, aged 4, has taken this as a bit of a project and is delightedly colouring a page at a time from the Emergency Services pack.
Each character has two sides, and when they are as colourful as is desired, you cut around the dotted line, and use the stand to set up a play scene.
The instructions say that is when the real fun begins, but I’ve got to disagree: my children have loved the process of colouring. They’ve both told stories about the colours they’ve chosen and the character’s names, and more.
The cards include a little biography about the animal or vehicle. This is a cute little tale, and would probably help with the play later if your children are keen on creating a scene.
I have appreciated the enthusiasm with which the boys have approached these My Little World packs. I can see that they would be great to take with us to swimming each week so that Noah has something to do while James is in the pool. They would also be good for pre-dinner activities or while at a restaurant before the meal comes. I can see these making ideal stocking fillers, and also brilliant activities to keep little ones busy on a holiday or road trip.
If you would like to enter to win two of these packs (each worth £4.99), all you have to do is head over to Instagram and follow the simple instructions. Giveaway ends on 22nd July 2019 at 11.45pm.
