Very soon the clocks will be going back. I always think that when the evenings get darker sooner it will help the kids to get to sleep. I maintain this hope after 6 years! To help with bedtime Moonlite have come up with an alternative way of reading a traditional storybook. Moonlite brings storybooks to life with a modern twist, that makes reading a fun and memorable event for both children and parents. This is done by projecting the story using an app and your smartphone.
I have one Moonlite Children’s Story Book Projector The Very Hungry Caterpillar to give away! Find out how to enter below:
Moonlite Children’s Story Book Projector Review
The projector is a small device that clips onto your smartphone and uses the torch to project vibrant storybook images onto any surface!
While projecting the storybook images, the Moonlite app displays story text and plays music. At various points in the story, you (or your child) can press highlighted text for fun, appropriate sound effects, creating an immersive and magical storytime experience for you and your child.
We have found that Moonlite is a fab way of enjoying a bedtime story! We imagine that babies, toddlers, kids, and adults who love to read will think it is a really engaging way of hearing a story. It’s compatible with most Android and iOS devices.
These are the stories recently launched in the UK:

Did you know that reading stories to our children fuels their imaginations and activates the creative side of their brains? They begin to visualise the words we are reading to them, which helps develop their creative intelligence

There is a magical time between ages 3 to 7 when children expand out beyond verbal communication and start to develop written language skills as well. Moonlite is an amazing way of seeing the pictures while the story is being read out loud. The images are bright and colourful and look fantastic shown up on the ceiling or on the wall.
Moonlite Story Projector – how it works
Moonlite is quick and simple to use, this is great at bedtime! In four easy steps you can be snuggled up with your child reading through your story.
1. Simply download Moonlite from the App Store or Google Play Store – it’s free!
2. Pop one of the story reels into the Moonlite projector
3. Attach Moonlite to your phone
4. Open the app, unlock the story with the included activation code and start reading
The app goes through each step, showing you exactly how to set it all up. I have found that the projector stays in place better if I take the cover off my phone first. You do also have to turn the lens a little to ensure a sharp picture.

We absolutely love bedtime stories, and have at least one every night! Moonlite doesn’t change the way we enjoy bedtime stories if anything it adds another way to enjoy books and stories. James has enjoyed reading the stories to his little brother, and they both love being snuggled up while hearing the story.
We love using the Moonlite storybook projector, and it will be something I know will be regularly used in our house. It’s exciting to see which stories they will be releasing next (if you sign up on their website you get told about all the new releases – this week there were some new Disney titles!). As the nights draw in using Moonlite will be even more enjoyable as it lights up a darkened room while being snuggly and warm together!
