Keeping kids entertained over the summer months is tricky. I’ve never quite understood why baby and toddler groups close down for the six-week break, but they often do and so whatever the age of your children you’re bound to be left with troops to entertain. The (hopefully) hot weather will mean you need to keep them not only busy, but also hydrated.
Two out of three (64%) parents say they do not know how much water their children should be drinking each day. I’m in with that percentage – you? I guess “more” is the answer to that! 42% of parents say their children find the taste of water ‘boring’.
We have a general rule of “water or milk” for the boys, though occasionally we’ll get juice or something with a bit more flavour, but on the whole they’re ok with the idea of just those two. We had a bad experience with juice in Mexico – look at James’ poor little face. However, we have been through enough testing to know that he doesn’t have an allergy anymore.
So when we were sent a selection of Robinsons Squash’d to try, the excitement levels reached fever pitch. The sticker chart was the icing on the cake, and James began asking for a drink, taking a sip, then pointing out he needed a sticker. He’d then say he didn’t need the rest of the drink, only to repeat the process a few minutes later. He really enjoyed the citrus flavour the best.
I really love how the Squash’d bottles fit really easily into my bag so we can have flavoured water where ever we are – at the beach, the park or after a marathon!
I was really surprised to learn there is real fruit in every drop and there’s no added sugar, artificial colours or preservatives. A great way to keep little ones hydrated when they’re too busy to stop exploring to bother with boring old water!

Yeah I find all the groups closing in holidays annoying too!
Why do they all close down?!
Great to hear how you got on and lovely pictures. Commenting for myself and on behalf of BritMums and thanking you for taking part
