1 Germany
In Germany, there are a variety of things you can do with your family. One place that is perfect for kids and adults alike is the Berlin Zoological Garden. This zoo features thousands of animals from around the world, including many endangered species! In addition to seeing these amazing creatures up close, it’s also home to one of Europe’s largest aquariums featuring some beautiful marine life as well as an indoor rainforest filled with birds and other wildlife. There isn’t anything else like this zoo in all of Europe, so why not give it a try? You won’t regret it! Another fun destination for everyone is Neuschwanstein Castle, located near Fussen, Germany, which was famously used as a model for the Disney castle.
2 Netherlands
If you are looking for a destination with lots of options to choose from, the Netherlands should be your go-to place. With over 90 museums and plenty of other fun activities like cycling tours or boat rides on one of Amsterdam’s numerous canals, it is sure to keep everyone in your family entertained. At the same time, they learn about this unique country’s culture and traditions! Another great location that will make your trip unforgettable is Kinderdijk which features 19 authentic Dutch windmills found throughout the town, making it unique. Additionally, there are great restaurants, cafes, and other fun activities nearby.
3 France
France, like most countries in Europe, is full of history and beauty. With several historic museums to choose from and countless castles, art galleries, monuments, and more, this country has something for everyone! However, one place that stands out is the Palace of Versailles located just outside Paris, which will allow you to explore French royalty’s opulent lifestyle through an array of beautiful gardens with fountains (which are great fun for kids!), luxurious rooms filled with amazing frescos, sculptures, and paintings. Suppose this doesn’t cut it, what experiencing this rich culture with incredible motorcycle tours in France. You can even see Marie Antoinette’s bedroom! This palace truly puts on a show unlike anything else you’ll find elsewhere. Another location worth visiting in France would be Mont Saint Michel, which features a medieval monastery built upon a small island that you can only reach by crossing a causeway flooded with water during high tide.
4 Italy
In Italy, many different experiences will take you back in time. One of the best is visiting Pompeii, which sits just outside Naples and was destroyed when Mt. Vesuvius erupted nearly 2000 years ago, leaving behind a hauntingly beautiful city frozen in time! While it’s important to note that this site isn’t for those who may be sensitive to disaster sites as all of the remains were buried beneath ash following the eruption, it makes for a unique visit where you can imagine what life must have been like at that exact moment in history before everything changed forever. Another great destination is Venice, located on the northern coast of Italy, which features an array of water taxis passing through narrow channels and tiny islands that are only accessible by boat.
5 Iceland
Last but not least, Iceland is an excellent choice as it offers many unique experiences that will allow you to see this country’s breathtaking nature. For example, there are several places throughout the island where you can go whale watching, which provides an opportunity for your family to learn about and even interact with some of these beautiful creatures! Another fun activity would be going on a glacier hike through one of Vatnajökull’s ice caves. If that doesn’t sound appealing, then how about something different like visiting Gullfoss Waterfall located outside Reykjavik? These waterfalls plummet down sheer cliffs into mighty rivers that eventually wind their way out towards the sea, making them unforgettable.
