Apologies; I’ve missed a few weeks of telling you what we’ve been reading at bedtime, but I’ve had a few adult book reviews you might want to check out (particularly I’m fond of The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry), and of course, while we were on holiday, Danielle Lowe filled in with this fantastic guest post about reading to babies.
This week we’ve had the pleasure of reading James’ book from his playgroup library. It’s called The Little Engine That Could.
James enjoys reading it by himself, and also to Noah. When I read it for the first time I sort of made up a tune to sing it, and then the next few times the tune changed completely so James started getting a bit upset I wasn’t doing it right.
Now he takes charge and reads it how he likes!
We like it, but I wish I could find a tune I remember while reading it so I could get it right (haha!). I think I can, I think I can, I know I can!
