Bayeux is wonderful isn’t it and was so lucky not to have been bombed in WWII – I am very lucky and live just 45 mins away and do love to head up to the town for a mooch around. I’m off to pin some of your fabulous pictures on my Bayeux Pinterest board.

We brought our 3 children overseas to Normandy last summer. I’ve read your last few posts and I see that you have done a lot fo similar things to what we did. We stayed in Vire and did daytrips to Juno Beach, Caen, Bayeux, Rouen, Balleroy and others during our 2 week stay. Isn’t is wonderful in Normandy? Beautiful and kid-friendly! Thanks for sharing your pics and bringing back so many memories for me!

I’m sad we didn’t have two weeks! We wanted to do more than we were able to do, but it’s nice to not dash around and squeeze too much in. Normandy is a beautiful, very child friendly place. Hopefully we’ll be back soon!

It’s such a long time since I was in Bayeux – I’m sure I was about 8! No audio guides then, certainly, but the tapestry is fascinating so it would be great to go back and see what I missed. Lovely countryside too. Thanks for linking up to #mondayescapes
